Breast Surgery - Gynecomastia
(bulky male breast)
Gynecomastia consists of a disproportionate increase in the male breast, either by the enlarging of the mammary gland or by hypertrophy of local fat. Of variable size, it is usually bilateral and causes great discomfort in self-image, with great limitations in social interaction, strongly limiting the choice of clothing and sports - especially at younger ages.
Surgical treatment, using liposuction techniques (more frequent and without scars) or glandular excision (with an almost imperceptible areolar scar), provide favourable results with considerable improvement in perception and image projection.
Usually performed on an outpatient basis or with hospitalisation up to 24 hours.
Cirurgia da Mama - Ginecomastia
(mama masculina volumosa)
A ginecomastia consiste no aumento desproporcionado da mama masculina, seja por aumento da glândula mamária seja pela hipertrofia da gordura local. De dimensão variável, é habitualmente bilateral e causa grande desconforto na autoimagem, com grandes limitações na interação social, limitando fortemente a escolha do vestuário e a prática desportiva, sobretudo nas idades mais jovens.
O tratamento cirúrgico, através de técnicas de lipoaspiração (mais frequente e sem cicatrizes) ou de excisão glandular (com cicatriz areolar, quase impercetível) proporciona resultados muito favoráveis com melhoria considerável na perceção e projeção da imagem.
Habitualmente realizada em regime ambulatório ou com internamento até 24horas.
